AND OTHER ITEMS OF CLAY

Each work is of unique design with each individual tile cut by hand, glazed and kiln fired in bright colors at our pottery studio here at House of Whispering Firs. The pieces are then arranged as designed and hand set into mortar and polished to a high lustre.

Our mosaics are suitable for year-round outdoor display and can be incorporated into the garden, wall mounted or placed in a display stand. We also offer tables, birdbaths, sundials and many other attractive creations guaranteed to be the talk of your gardens and deck.

"My Neighbor's Garden" Looking for something fun to do, (other than coming up to Whispering Firs for a visit)? Currents Gallery on 3rd Street in McMinnville is having a fun exhibit March 17th through April 12th featuring "recycled art". Each piece of original art must be at least 80% of something recycled. The artists have had a ball creating art from some of the strangest things! My entry started with an old (c. 1960) Harley Davidson gas tank and assorted parts. For the record, Kathy recycled the neighbor's Harley gas tank, spark plugs, bolts & misc. hardware, a well pressed Coors Light beer can found in front of Whispering Firs and finally, the cement board base material originally in the shower - behind the dragon fly mosaic (seen below)!!
